Hehe, karena ini masi rancu, aku ga kasi kepastiannya, karena Intel juga ber-rencana ngeluarin yg pakai Fiber Optic Unpowered USB, ini yang bakal di standart-kan oleh INTEL
That's why INTEL didn't go to USB 3.0 even all mainboard vendor anounced their mainboard to USB 3.0 platform with NEC chipset implant for USB 3.0 Support.
INTEL now already prototype USB 3.0 with fiber optic data transfer named Light Peak.
Intel claims that Light Peak, which works by way of optical cabling, can
transfer ...data at 10 Gbps—twice USB 3.0's 5-Gbps rate—and may even be
able to scale up to 100 Gbps sometime during the next decade. Light Peak
can run more than one protocol at a time, which could let you connect
multiple devices to your system via a single cable. Light Peak, however,
cannot power devices—at least one distinct advantage USB has over it.
The first devices using Light Peak could be available as early as next
year.
So, hold up everyone to catch USB 3.0 paltform now.. we'll waiting something big here
